I have a few savings bonds from the early eighties, are they worth anything? What do I do to find out what they are worth or how do I cash them in?

Go to the Treasury Dept website, they have a savings bond calculator.

They are now probably worth their face value, but previos comment was correct. They stop earning interest after 30 years, so they don’t have much life left. The interest is taxable though, unless you use it for qualified education expense. The link below will take you to the savings bond calculator.

You can redeem them at most US Banks, though if it is not your bank, they may charge you a fee.
