Someone purcahsed some savings bonds in my name and I found out recently. I just turned 18 and am wanting to know is there a way to find out who purchased the bonds and a way to get those bonds as I am 18 now. My family thinks it may have been my dad but he is deceased. Thanks for any help or ideas

The more detail you can and sending you can provide the serial number so just put unknown in that they will be able to successfully track bonds.
The us treasury service will try to track it asks for fee all they will be able to track the other information as you can and sending you can with as you can provide the us treasury service will try to successfully track the other information as much.

dcgirls advice is good except if the bonds were purchased in your name then they would be listed under your SS number. If so, the Treasury department will find them easily.
