How can I find out about some savings bonds that my late mother had?

She had cashed some a few years back, and said that she still had others to be cashed. I have gone through all of her papers, and haven’t found any and no numbers. What do I do now? I would **** to just let the government have the money if there was a way to have them replaced.

Go on line to savings bonds.gov It is a government page that has a wealth of information on savings bonds regarding the value, lost bonds, etc.
