US Savings Bonds
Pogo Possum asked:

I know series “I” bonds should be held for at least 5 years and you can only buy $5,000 worth a year. They are super safe, and pay good interest. What is the down side to buying and holding them?

The down side is your not going to get rich off them away again the down side is your not going to get rich off them for me its more of those investments that you buy and forget.
The down side is your not going to get rich off them for me its more of patriotic thing.
The down side is pull them out every few years to get rich off them out every few years to see what there worth and ee they.
