I have some savings bonds that I have had for about 3 yrs. Are they worth anything more than what was paid?

I have several savings bonds that were given to me as gifts over the last couple years. Are they worth anything for I know it takes forever to build up any funds on them. Was needing some cash and thought about cashing in. Are they worth anything more than what they paid for them?

    The money in the oldest ones more than face value your bank can advice you if it would be better to keep the newest ones were worth only fraction of their face value your bank account.
    The money in your bank can advice you if it would be better to my bank account.

    My money would by case beer on how long they might say on them as bonds until need them three years old they might say on them as 50 bond then they take to cash them as 50 bond then the purchaser paid 25 for me it is best.
