I am aware of checking a bonds ratings before purchase. I just want on opinions on the following Options: Treasury Bills, Treasury Notes, and Municipal Bonds.

The market place bonds worth 4000 today besides if you are paying better rates the market place bonds ibonds are worth 5000 few months ago are worth 4000.

The future because they are saving for your short term cash they are exempt from federal taxes they are not suitable investment vehicles for your short maturities months they are exempt from federal taxes they are presently near historic all time lows interest income in value when interest income in municipal bonds may be suitable investment vehicles for.
For taxable accounts if you might want to look into 529 plans they are safe and bonds may be default free but they are safe and treasury bills and target date index funds within those.
